We wish to recruit an experienced person to work with the Elective Home Education community, specifically with Year 11 and Year 12 students. This post has been established to support and encourage young people in those Year groups into college courses, training and/or employment to avoid them becoming NEET (Not in Employment Education or Training). Close partnership working with Blackpool & Fylde college Engagement Coaches, along with other agencies, is essential in making this programme a success.
The post includes working with young people who may not have experienced social interaction with professionals and/or peers for some time, limited academic ability and little knowledge of services available to support with post 16 provision. It is the role of the successful candidate to build a rapport with both the young person and parents to overcome barriers to accessing EET.
